Ola Electric has raised the price of the S1 Pro electric scooter. It will now cost ₹1.40 lakh.

Ola Electric has raised the price of its flagship S1 Pro electric scooter. The electric two-wheeler maker opened its third buying window starting today, which revealed the new price for the S1 Pro electric scooter. Ola has increased the price of the S1 Pro by 10,000. However, the electric vehicle maker has not yet shared any reason behind the rise. The new price of Ola Electric S1 Pro is now 1.40 lakh (old showroom).

The Ola S1 Pro electric scooter was launched at a price of 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) on Aug 15 last year. This is the first price increase implemented by the electric vehicle manufacturer.

Ola Electric has announced a new buying window, the third since its launch, for all potential customers. The buying window will remain open over the weekend. The electric vehicle maker has already launched test camps in five cities across India. Ola said all customers who have reserved the e-scooters will be notified by the e-vehicle manufacturer via email.

Ola Electric’s S1 Pro comes with a true mileage of 131km (ARAI range of 185km in ideal conditions). The e-scooter has a top speed of 115 km/h and can go from standstill to 100 km/h in three seconds.

The popularity of the S1 Pro model has helped Ola Electric grow from a rookie to becoming the number one electric scooter manufacturer in less than a year. In April, Ola Electric recorded its best month ever for sales with 12,683 units delivered. Ola managed to overtake segment leader Hero Electric, recording monthly growth of almost 40%.

Ola is also the fastest electric vehicle manufacturer to reach 10,000 monthly sales in India. However, in the same month, Ola Electric had to recall 1,441 units of its electric scooters due to a fire in Pune.
