[Exclusive] The price of OPPO electric scooter in India has rocked, a Tata Nano type four-wheeler is also expected

In addition, OPPO also offers a compact four-wheeler of the Tata Nano type. Considering that Tata Nano launched at a starting price of around Rs 1 lakh at the time, we can expect the OPPO four-wheeler to be offered at an aggressive price as well, although some come with features. and a design. As it is compared to Tata Nano, we can assume that the design could be compact and only fit a limited number, unlike a typical sedan or sedan. OPPO designs these vehicles primarily for intra-city journeys. We can probably expect more models in the future that will be premium and take brands like Tata, MG, Ather, Ola and others.

Apparently OPPO is in talks with battery manufacturing companies and parts suppliers. Interestingly, some of these companies supply parts to top brands like Telsa. Since this will be OPPO’s very first take on electric vehicles, the company would like to get it right. After Realme and OnePlus, OPPO has also filed for brands of electric vehicles in India. Interestingly, the trademark application was filed in 2018 but is only revealed now. Since there is an almost 2-3 year gap until OPPO actually launches the EV, we hope to find more details about them. Stick around.

Oppo Electric Scooter Price In India Revealed, 4 Wheeler May Also Be Launched

Representative image.

Oppo is said to be working on an electric car for the Indian market. The launch of the Oppo EV is still a long way off, as the rumor mill claims it will launch in late 2023 or early 2024. Oppo has not confirmed plans to launch an EV in India.

Pending official confirmation, some details of the upcoming Oppo car have been leaked. A 91Mobiles report claims that Oppo is working on two electric vehicles. One of the two electric vehicles is the Oppo electric scooter. The other EV is probably a compact car, something similar to a Tata Nano. Let’s take a look at more details around the Oppo EV, the rumored electric scooter before launch.

Oppo electric scooter, Tata Nano type car in preparation?

Oppo could launch its first electric vehicle in India by 2024. Ahead of the launch, a report claims that this electric vehicle could be offered at a price of around Rs 1 lakh. Oppo’s next electric vehicle in India would be similar to the Tata Nano in terms of design. The car is likely to be compact and could accommodate four passengers, including the driver.

Considering the price, Oppo could make some compromises in terms of features. There is no mention of the battery capacity. However, given that the car’s overall dimensions are likely to be compact, we can expect it to offer enough battery for intra-city travel.

The report also shares some key details of Oppo’s electric scooter. Although there is no word on the specifications or features, the report indicates that Oppo could price its scooter in India under Rs 60,000. The price would be very aggressive compared to the competition, which offers scooters for about or more than one lakh rupees.

The report further adds that Oppo is in talks with battery manufacturing companies and parts suppliers, some of which supply parts to Tesla. Oppo has also registered an electric vehicle trademark in India. Therefore, the rumors that the company is launching an EV could be true.

Announcing the price of the Ola S1 electric scooter in India: 5 scooters it will compete against

The highly anticipated Ola electric scooter price in India and specifications have been announced. The company presented two scooters, called Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro. Both scooters serve the premium electric scooter market, but it is the Ola S1 that is likely to attract more buyers, possibly due to its slightly affordable price compared to the Ola S1 Pro. The Ola S1 electric scooter will be retailed in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999 – excluding state subsidies. The scooter, with its big brother Ola S1 Pro, will be available for purchase starting September 8, with October shipments to 1,000 cities. We take a look at some of the Ola S1’s competitors here in this article which is likely to make its course a bit bumpy in the market.

Ola S1 specifications, price in India at a glance

Electric scooter Ola S1

5 electric scooters that will compete with Ola S1

1. Ather 450 Plus and 450x

Ather Energy’s Ather 450 series is one of the most influential pure EV scooters in India and is quite proudly grown here unlike most others in the segment. The Ather 450 Plus and the 450x are the members of the range where the 450x is more performance oriented of the two. The Ather 450 has benchmark acceleration times, a claimed range of 116 km (actual range approx. 80 km), support for fast charging, an IP67 rated battery with a 3 year warranty and a Decent storage of 22 L. The design 450 approaches with a modern look executed with taste and offers interesting color combinations. The Ather 450 uses a cast aluminum frame and weighs just 108kg (for comparison, Ola S1 Pro weighs 125kg).

The Ather 450 range is already on sale in 11 cities with more to follow. The Ather 450 also hosts connected technology, for which you have to pay on a quarterly or annual basis. The Ather 450 battery is guaranteed for 3 years / unlimited kilometers. The price offers are as follows.

Vehicle price: The Ather 450 Plus was sold for Rs 1,68,989 in India (ex-Bangalore showroom excluding FAME II subsidy), while the Ather 450x sells for Rs 1,87,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru exhibition outside FAME II subsidy). The scooters come with a few connectivity plans including Ather Connect Lite which costs Rs 400 / quarter or Rs 1,500 / year and Ather Connect Pro, which will get you back to Rs 700 / quarter or Rs 2,400 / year.

2. Bajaj Chetak

The Chetak of yesteryear is back and this time with a modern, purely electric drivetrain. The Chetak is branded without the Bajaj tag, to appeal to old and new customers. The Chetak is one of the more expensive scooters on the market and also lacks the allure of the new generation when it comes to technology and other modernities. Chetak avoids bragging about acceleration times, but being an electric vehicle, it should be pretty good for the city. That said, the Chetak looks more conventional with its modern-retro swoopy design, 6 color options and of course the brand name. The Chetak also promises an IP67 certified body, LED headlights, a claimed range of 90 km, steel body panels and a good guarantee of a well-established after-sales network.

The Chetak is stepping back in time with its basic digital console and no proper connectivity tech underneath. It also means that there is no subscription to pay regularly once you buy this scooter. Chetak de Bajaj also promises a 3 year / 50,000 km warranty. This surprisingly pulls up to 7 years / 70,000 km provided the user never lets the battery drop below 15% and uses the vehicle regularly.

Vehicle price: The price of Chetak Urbane in India is set at Rs 1,000,000 (ex-Delhi showroom), while Chetak Premium costs Rs 1,15,000 (ex-Delhi showroom).

3. iQube TV

The TVS iQube is an attempt by a traditional large-scale two-wheeler manufacturer and it shows. The approach is safe even if it lacks imagination and is clearly designed to appeal to a much larger audience who would prefer the TVS brand to other newcomers to the segment. The TVS iQube hosts a decent albeit generic EV powertrain with a claimed range of just 75 km in eco mode. Acceleration times are in the order of 4.5 seconds and the top speed is 78 km / h. The iQube also uses a base 3 Li-ion battery set and a low-power 4.4 kW motor. The design is also quite original with rounded square shapes throughout. Also from a construction point of view, iQube is playing it safe with basic mechanics. The iQube is however IP67 certified and tips the scales at a moderate weight of 118kg.

The TVS iQube battery gives you a 3 year / 50,000 km warranty. Upon purchase, TVS offers a lifetime subscription to SmartXonnect basic features, a one-year subscription to RSA, and a one-year subscription to SmartXonnect Advanced. The iQube is available in 6 cities.

Vehicle price: iQube comes with a sticker price of Rs 1,00,777 (on Delhi route). The scooter also comes with a SmartXonnet Advanced subscription, which costs Rs 900 / year.

4. HX Electric Photon Hero

Electric Hero Photon HX

The Hero Electric Photon HX looks like it’s a generation or two in terms of styling and powertrain. The unimpressive numbers, the quirky or downright ugly style, the lack of new-age features, the bizarre colors don’t appeal to the heart or the mind. The Photon HX has a meager top speed of 45 km / h, so it’s virtually impossible to get a speeding ticket. The only decent thing to brag about is a claimed range of 108 km. Hero’s lack of connected features and odd, uninteresting marketing doesn’t sweeten the deal for what is currently the most expensive EV two-wheeler in Hero’s portfolio. The only saving grace, if any, is Hero’s healthy reseller and service network.

Vehicle price: Hero Electric Photon HX is priced at Rs 71,440 in India (ex-Delhi showroom)

5. Simple

One of the most promising upcoming electric scooters and a worthy rival to the Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters will be the Simple One from the home of another startup, Simple Energy. Although currently in a pre-production state, but Simple Energy has started to accept pre-bookings, the scooter has high claims matching and even exceeding the likes of the Ola S1 and S1 Pro. The Simple One claims the fastest 0-40 km / h time in 2.95 seconds while promising a claimed range of 236 km. The Simple One has a removable battery which makes the scooter easier and faster to charge and it achieves this while having 30L of trunk space. The Simple One claims to be 99% localized to keep prices in check.

Vehicle price: The Simple One is priced at Rs 1.09,999. Delivery is expected to begin by the end of this year.

Price of the ola electric scooter: launch of the Ola electric scooter at a starting price of Rs 99,999

Bangalore: Big electric vehicle maker Ola unveiled its long-awaited S1 and S1 Pro electric scooter models on Sunday, which, while lowering the price of offers from competitors Ather Energy, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motors, still promise greater range and performance. higher performance.

Starting at a price of Rs 99,999, which includes FAME II subsidies but omits state-level subsidies, and going up to Rs 1.29,999 for the Pro model, Ola said he would start. to authorize buyers to buy its vehicles from September 8, with the first deliveries starting in October in 1,000 towns and villages in India.

Ola, who will manufacture the vehicles at its Krishnagiri plant in Tamil Nadu, said it will soon have a production capacity of one million vehicles and is confident it can fulfill pre-orders for its electric scooter models in the near future. over the next few months. Ola said she received more than a lakh of pre-reservations for her scooter in the first 24 hours after reservations opened to the public.

“The S1 and S1 Pro are industry-leading products with best-in-class range, speed and cost,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Ola. “We have seen a demand for this vehicle from everywhere, and of course also from big cities, because the scooter is a product of urban mobility. ”

The top of the range Ola S1 Pro will have a 3.97 kilowatt-hour (KwH) battery with a range of 181 kilometers and a top speed of 115 kilometers per hour. While Aggarwal said buyers can expect 85% of this range in real life conditions, he added that it was still twice what competitors in the market were offering today.

Amazon, which won a huge victory against Future Retail in the Supreme Court in early August, is doing everything to thwart its takeover by Reliance. He has now written to Sebi, asking the regulator to withdraw the conditional approval.

The cheaper S1 gets a smaller 2.98 kWh battery, which is even larger than that offered in the Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak or TVS iQube scooters, which will give the S1 a range of 121 kilometers, while its speed of peak will be limited to a 90 km / h.

Ola will also roll out a home service network in every city where it sells its electric vehicles and said buyers can expect a 40% lower total cost of ownership for its electric vehicles compared to gasoline scooters on the market. market today.

The company‘s scooters will also come with plenty of futuristic features like keyless lock / unlock, different modes and profiles for different riders, and even allow riders to set moods that will change the sound and display graphics. Both models will also benefit from a reverse mode and hill-hold assistance.

“Only around 160 million people in India own a two-wheeler today and this will increase dramatically. While we need our people to have mobility solutions, we can’t let that be gasoline vehicles. The only way out is to accelerate this electric journey and that is the vision with which we started Ola Electric, ”said Aggarwal.

Aggarwal, who has also taken on giants such as Tesla and Hyundai at the request of the Indian government to reduce import tariffs on electric vehicles, saying it would hurt the development of India’s own electric vehicle manufacturing plans, also said that India should consider switching to 100% electric two-wheelers by 2025, with the country having the capacity to capture 50% of global two-wheeler demand by then.

He added that “the market is ready, the consumer is ready, it’s just that companies are not ready” when it comes to offering electric vehicles and Ola was looking to accelerate that by launching competitive products. globally in the sector. He also said that Ola would make a profit sooner than everyone expects from her electric vehicle manufacturing business.

The upcoming price of Ather electric scooter could be less than Rs. 1 lakh

Upcoming Ather Electric Scooter Price
The company wants to be present in more cities

The next Ather electric scooter priced below Rs. 1 lakh could be a game-changer, provided the Ola scooter costs more

Ather Energy’s next electric scooter could come with a sub-R. 1 lakh price tag. The CEO of the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle company, Tarun Mehta, recently admitted that Ather sees a market in the lower segment at Rs. 1 lakh.

Although he has not confirmed that the company is working on such a vehicle, the head of Ather also did not deny it, but simply said, “I think there is a market. at every price.

But, Mehta explained that he “fundamentally doesn’t want to go into a price war” and added that he doesn’t think “it makes sense to configure the market with a price that you can’t defend for long. run or build a business on.

Thus, Ather is expected to launch a new electric scooter with an asking price of less than Rs. 1 lakh by next year. This new scooter will be the electric vehicle manufacturer’s most affordable product to date.

Currently, the company sells its 450 Plus scooter for Rs. 1.13 lakhs and its flagship 450X for Rs. 1.32 lakhs in Delhi (prices are excluding showroom). Both recently saw their price drop due to the revised Fame 2 standards.

While the base price of the 450 Plus and the 450X is the same at Rs. 1.71 lakhs, the latter gets a performance upgrade that costs Rs. 19,010 / -. Add the Fame 2 grant of Rs. 43,500 / – and the Delhi government incentive of Rs. 14,500 / -, we come to the final figure.

The sub-Rs. The 1 lakh Ather scooter will compete with the upcoming Ola Scooter & Bajaj Chetak

Interestingly, scooters cost even less in Ahmedabad thanks to Rs from the government of Gujarat. 20,000 / – incentive directly to the consumer.

In order to obtain the next price of the electric scooter below Rs. 1 lakh, Ather will have to reduce the ex-showroom price of the electric vehicle (excluding subsidies) to less than Rs. 1.50 lakh.

The CEO of Ather also revealed that he expects the Company’s Average Energy Efficiency (CAFE) standards (which will take effect on April 1, 2022) to further increase the rates charged for scooters at internal combustion.

Additionally, Tarun Mehta said that upgrades developed for the 450X in the future will focus on improving the performance of the electric vehicle. He wants to equip the scooter with a better regenerative braking system, improved ABS and make it go faster than it currently can.

The price of Ampere electric scooter starts from Rs 42k in Gujarat

Magnus Pro amp

Following the review of FAME II subsidies and the update of Gujarat’s EV policy, Ampere electric scooters are now available for less than 50,000 euros.

Along with range anxiety, a major concern for those considering purchasing an electric scooter has always been the cost of the vehicle itself. Now that the Fame II policy has been revised and various state governments have introduced state-specific EV policies, things are starting to improve. Just last month, Gujarat’s EV policy was announced shortly after the FAME II grant review. The current price revision

With this, Ampere electric scooters are now available at a retail price below Rs 50k. Recent price revisions could prove to provide the boost needed to make electric scooters a viable daily commute option.

Zealous 41 990 68 990 -27,000

The current sentiment regarding the use of two-wheelers is being watched closely by millions of people as the price of gasoline regularly hits the $ 100 mark. Roy Kurian, COO, Ampere Electric, said: “This will help commuters optimize their gasoline expense in their conventional 2W. It will also help logistics players in B2B segments to save significantly on their transportation costs and instead use that money for business development.

Ampere Magnus and Zeal electric scooters

Ampere Magnus and Zeal can reach a top speed of 55 km / h. Autonomy is indicated at 75 km when fully charged. Depending on mobility needs, the duration can be 2 good days. This includes a series of tech companies and others that have embarked on the EV journey. The market continues to see new manufacturers entering the foray pointing to a future that could be very different from the current two-wheeler market.

Modern policies on electric vehicles set a target for reducing carbon emissions. At the same time, political guidelines encourage entrepreneurs to venture into the field of electric mobility. Reduced price of TVS iQube electric scooter

A cheaper iQube may become a more attractive option compared to rival Bajaj Chetak

In line with the changes introduced in FAME II (Faster Adoption and Manufacture of Electric Vehicles in India), the available subsidy has been increased to Rs 15,000 per kWh. Previously, the available subsidy was Rs 10,000 per kWh.

The new subsidy rates will apply to all electric and hybrid vehicles, except buses only. In addition, the government has increased the level of incentive to 40% of the cost of the vehicle. Previously, this was set at 20%.

Revised prices of TVS iQube

With the changes to the FAME-II subsidy program, the on-road price of iQube is now 11,250 rupees lower than before. iQube is currently offered in Delhi and Bangalore. In Delhi, the effective road price fell to 1.01 lakh.

In comparison, Bengaluru customers will have to pay Rs 1.10 lakh. The cost is lower in Delhi because the state government provides additional subsidies for electric vehicles. Promoting the use of electric vehicles is an integral part of the overall plan to reduce pollution in the National Capital Region.

With a significant price reduction, iQube can be in an advantageous position over its rival Bajaj Chetak. At the time of its launch, Chetak was offered at an attractive introductory price of Rs 1 lakh. However, with subsequent price revisions, Chetak has become quite expensive. The Chetak Urbane and Premium variants are available at Rs 1.43 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh, respectively.

Chetak is currently not eligible for an increased grant, as it has not yet been approved under the FAME-II program. It will have to continue with its current prices. For this reason, Chetak prices are now at the same level as those of the Ather 450X.

Ather was the first electric two-wheeler manufacturer to announce lower prices due to increased subsidies. In Bengaluru, Ather 450 Plus and 450X are now priced at Rs 1,25,490 and Rs 1,44,500, respectively.

TVS iQube expansion plans

The rising subsidies couldn’t have come at a better time for iQube. This is because TVS is currently working to introduce iQube in 20 new cities. With lower prices, it might become easier for the business to attract customers. New cities that will be covered include Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

However, things won’t be easy for iQube, as Bajaj is also working on launching Chetak in new cities. Bajaj plans to cover around 30 new cities by the end of this fiscal year. Ather is already ahead of the game, having launched his scooter in more than a dozen cities. Other locations will be covered in the coming months.

TVS cuts price of iQube electric scooter by 11,250 rupees after FAME II subsidy review

Following the recent announcement revision of the subsidy under the FAME II scheme by the government, TVS Motor Company revised the price of its electric scooter, the iQube Electric.

The iQube Electric now costs Rs 11,250 less. From Rs 112,027 in New Delhi, the ecological scooter now costs Rs 100,777 in the capital. And in Bangalore, prices went from 121,756 to 110,506 Rs.

Launched in January 2020, the iQube Electric sold 62 units in FY2020, 1,061 units in FY2021 and 307 units in April 2021.

Commenting on the revised FAME II grant, Sudarshan Venu, Deputy General Manager of TVS Motor Company, said, “We welcome the government’s continued support for electric vehicles. Sustainable mobility solutions are very important for the future and TVS is investing heavily in this direction. Improved incentives for electric two-wheelers will increase penetration. Such political orientation should lead to the local development of future technology. “

Price of Ather 450 Plus electric scooter reduced from Rs 9k

Electric scooter Ather 450X

Beneficiary of the Ather energy buyback program after 3 years of use of Ather 450X

The Ather Energy Assured buyback program for the Ather 450X electric scooter was announced today. This is a guaranteed buy-back from the car manufacturer at Rs 85,000 after 3 years.

Insurance of this nature works wonders for the buyer’s psyche, as vehicle owners consider it before even purchasing a value. Anything that has a high resale value proposition tends to tip buying decisions in its favor. The latest development further enhances the opportunities for the Ather 450X.

Ather Energy builds its own batteries and li-ion platform for its range of products for optimum reliability. With retail sales first starting in 2018 in Bengaluru and then in Chennai, the company is now in a growth phase where activities have been planned in several cities.

Ather Energy reliability

For the sake of consistency of performance, Ather energy continued its buyback guarantee plan. With reliability being a key and crucial area for this announcement, the company is confident that the Ather 450X brings a high valuation on the resale market as experienced by the current owners.

The buyback program will also serve to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles in India. Other company initiatives include Ather Grid, experience centers and customer forums focused on electric vehicles. Together, its multiple attributes and areas of focus have gone beyond just building an electric scooter.

Smart financing solutions have helped strengthen purchase proposals. This includes the availability of rental subscriptions in Bangalore and Chennai. Rental options will be introduced in other cities in which the company operates, as they allow the use of the Ather 450X at a lower price for a nominal monthly fee. This helps attract buyers who are unwilling to choose an outright buying plan.

Ather 450 Plus price drop

The overall cost of ownership in Bangalore benefits from exchanging used petrol two-wheelers for a trade-in bonus. In addition, low interest loans from financial partners with which Ather Energy is associated can help finalize a purchasing decision.

Ex-showroom the price of the Ather 450 Plus model is reduced, and can now be purchased at Rs 1.39,990. The previous price was Rs 1.49,000. This is an effective price reduction of around Rs 9k.

Options include Ather Connect Lite (basic connected features), Ather Connect Pro, Ather Service Lite (periodic maintenance, RSA and labor), and Ather Service Pro (premium service experience). Charging at Ather Grid public stations is free until March 2021.

Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder and CEO of Ather Energy: “We believe that Ather Energy’s electric scooters will have fantastic value for years to come and will continue to improve with new features that we will roll out as we go. wireless upgrades. And to reinforce this assurance, we are announcing a resale guarantee.

Single Electric Scooter Mark 2

As India makes the transition to electric vehicles, green two-wheelers are winning the adoption race over their four-wheeled counterparts. Joining the race is Simple Mark 2, where two-wheeler giants like Bajaj Auto have already announced their decision to go electric. Things might not be that simple for startups like Simple Energy.

Based in Karnataka, Simple Energy is an electric vehicle startup that will soon offer its electric scooter named Mark 2. With an expected price of around Rs 1 lakh, the Simple Mark 2 seems a serious contender for the likes of Ather 450X and TVS iQube.

Interesting way, Simple Energy claims to have made over 80% of electric scooter in India, importing lithium-ion battery cells from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. With production slated to start early next year, here’s what we know about the scooter so far –

Simple brand specifications 2

Single Electric Scooter Mark 2

Supported by a 6 kg battery, the three modes will offer a range of 260 km, 220 km and 180 km respectively. The portable battery will be able to charge from 0 to 80% in 40 minutes thanks to home charging.

Since electric scooters are the future of mobility in India, it is important that scooters take their part. Simple Mark 2 does an incredible job, sporting a rather angular and sporty futuristic design and highlighted by LED lighting up front and back.

Regarding new-age features, the Mark 2 will come with a 7-inch touchscreen with 4G connectivity and Bluetooth which should offer features like those seen on the Ather 450 in the video below.

Ather electric scooters allowing customers to identify charging point locations as well as their availability in real time, all thanks to the Ather Grid app. Ather Energy also announced that it will extend the full warranty of its 450 FAME certified customers from 1 to 3 years instead of 2 years. Suzuki Burgman Street automatic scooter price leak: July 19 launch

It has become fairly well known that the Suzuki Burgman Street will launch in India on July 19. The maxi-scooter has already started to reach authorized dealers and a new report claims that the Burgman Street road price will be around Rs. 76,000. This will make Burgman Street the most expensive Suzuki scooter in India.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 made its public debut at Auto Expo 2018. The last automatic scooter will become the only maxi-scooter in India. The Burgman will become the second Indian maxi-scooter, after the very nice but now defunct Kinetic Blaze. The front of the scooter is characterized by an aggressively styled apron which carries a large headlight. The scooter also receives a small visor with pointy apron shoulders. It gets a rather bulky handlebar that has a plastic casing. The instrument console has been positioned behind the visor. The Burgman 125 offers a very large saddle, which should make it quite comfortable for well-built riders.

The Burgman Street 125 is in line with the international range of Suzuki Burgman scooters. It gets a similar maxi-scooter design. However, while the Indian-spec Burgman gets a 125cc engine, the international lineup includes 200cc, 250cc, 400cc and 600cc models. The Burgman Street 125 shares a lot with the Access 125, which means the next scooter will be a pretty reliable offering. The Burgman Street 125 is powered by a 124cc single cylinder engine that produces maximum power of 8.5 hp at 6,500 rpm and maximum torque of 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm. This is the same engine that also powers the Access 125. As the upcoming maxi-scooter is a bit heavier than the Access 125, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd is likely to readjust the engine accordingly. The engine will be mated to a CVT.
