Simple One electric scooter price range officially revealed ahead of India launch
Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle maker, will launch its first scooter this month. Dubbed Simple One, this electric scooter goes on sale here on August 15 and will also be available for reservation the same day. Ahead of the launch of Simple One, the electric vehicle maker shared some important details about the vehicle. The Simple One was initially to be available in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, followed by other regions later. However, the company has now decided that the electric scooter will also be launched in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Punjab. This became possible because the company had started work on the manufacturing unit in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which will have an annual production capacity of up to 1 million units.
The most important detail about Simple One, however, is the price range; the company has officially revealed that the price of Simple One in India will be between 1.1 lakh and 1.2 lakh. This puts it close to rivals like Bajaj Chetak Electric, TVS iQube, and Ather Plus.
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, said, “We have received many requests from many Indian cities to reserve the vehicle. The company felt the need to respond to these demands and launch the Phase 1 plan. We are also starting PAN India pre-bookings on launch day. The future is definitely cleaner and greener for Simple Energy. “
As already revealed, the Simple One will have a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery that will provide a range of 240 km / charge in Eco mode. The electric scooter will also be able to sprint from zero to 50 km / h in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 100 km / h. What’s interesting to note is that the Simple One will get a removable battery, which will make it easier for the owner to carry the battery to the charging point. Other features available on this electric scooter will include a seven-inch touchscreen instrument cluster with built-in navigation, Bluetooth, and more.
