Revolt Motors is based in Gurugram and operates a manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana. The company was founded by Rahul Sharma, who also co-founded Micromax, and was established with Rs 400-500 crore investment in the early rounds. The company then introduced the Revolt RV400 e-bike in 2019. The Revolt RV400 became the first mass-produced e-bike in India. The EV has also claimed a healthy range of 150km and a top speed of 85km/h, satisfying the needs of a commuter segment bike in India.

RV400 Revolt Review
The Revolt RV400 is one of the earliest entrants into the electric two-wheeler space in India. Most of the fundamentals of the RV400 are sorted and thus provide a complete experience. There is no strong competition and therefore not much to compare and the e-bike segment remains a niche in the market. The 150 km range, LED lighting, generous ground clearance and interchangeable battery proved to be strong points of the RV400. However, the RV400’s aging tech hardware could put buyers off, especially with scooters offering more connected and cohesive features built into a color touchscreen dash.
Advantages
- Striking design
- Good range
- Smart Features
The inconvenients
- Aging product with no follow-up upgrades
- Reduced market presence
