Ola Electric introduced the S1 electric scooter at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can reserve the model for a symbolic amount of Rs 499 before 31st August 2022. Deliveries will however start from the 7e September. The Ola S1 2022 shares many design elements and features with the S1 Pro. However, it has a smaller battery than the top-end variant. The new Ola e-scooter uses a 3kWh battery that’s said to deliver an ARAI-certified range of 141km on a full charge.
In Eco mode, the new Ola S1 2022 offers a range of 128km. The company claims the e-scooter promises a range of 101km and 90km in Normal and Sport modes respectively. The S1 Pro is exclusively offered with Hyper mode. It comes with the 5.5 kW battery and offers a claimed range of 116 km.
Similar to the S1 Pro, the new S1 has been made available with a portable home charger. It can recharge the battery in 4.48 hours. The company is also setting up the Ola Hypercharger network which claims to be the largest, densest and fastest 2W charging network in the world. It plans to establish 1 lakh hypercharge stations in 400 cities. With this charger, you can recharge the battery of the Ola electric scooter in 18 minutes for 75km of autonomy. The new Ola electric scooter is available in 5 colors, namely Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Liquid Silver, Jet Black and Coral Glam. Speaking of features, the S1 offers all the goodies available on the S1 Pro except cruise control. This means it has a large TFT display, proximity unlock, silent/emission mode, LED lighting. The company claims that the Ola S1 2022 will receive OTA (over-the-air) updates (including Move OS3) during this Diwali.
The company also announced a 5-year warranty extension for the Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. The latter receives a new Freedom edition painted in Khakhi Green color.
